Missouri Amateur Lacrosse

Freshman / Developmental "Festival" Games
2004 Season

Missouri Amateur Lacrosse is once again proud to host the Freshman Lacrosse Festival Series.  The location of the games will remain the Bud Sports fields at Creve Coeur Lake Park.  This year, we will be offering a wider variety of concessions, larger paved parking lot, and again Bacharach St. Louis will be on site providing equipment and apparel.

The Freshman Lacrosse Festival Series will run three (or four depending on interest) fields at a time.  Games will run from 8am to 2pm on March 27, April 3, 17 and 24.  May 1 is reserved as a weather makeup day.  As May 1st is also the Rockhurst Freshman Tournament, teams going to KC will be refunded, the rest will play.

Please let us know whether or not your program is interested in being a part of the festival series.  Email us at [email protected] or call 636-825-8801 with the Saturdays you would like to participate.  We encourage teams to play as many weekends as possible to increase competition and the overall lacrosse experience.

Teams playing all four weekends will be scheduled first.  After that, scheduling will be on a first-come, first-served basis.  Please get in touch soon to indicate which Saturdays your program wishes to play.

Here is some information you will find useful:
  • Teams will play two games per day.  Every effort will be made to keep teams from playing consecutive games.  Also, teams will rotate to play as many participation teams as possible.
  • Each two game session will cost $120 ($70 - refs, $40- fields, $10 - paint, goal transport, etc.)
  • Playing all four Saturdays will cost $480.
  • Each game will have two officials.
  • The Series is open to all freshman and first-year players.  Programs who wish to play older or more experienced athletes due to small team numbers must gain approval from MAL in advance.
  • Each team must produce an insurance waiver naming Missouri Amateur Lacrosse and St. Louis County as an "Additional Insured".
  • Each team must produce a player roster for the Freshman Lacrosse Festival Series Program.  Please include name, jersey number, position, height and weight - due by March 22nd.  MAL will provide a program with all team's rosters, as long as we get them from you.
