  • Officials – Bob Schulte – No Report
  • US Lacrosse – J.C. Dillon – Fall Face-Off will include Missouri Lacrosse Hall of Fame 2006 announcement – Our area is very well represented on the Boards of US Lacrosse: Ren Pettinelli & J.C. Dillon are members of the US Lacrosse Board of Governors, and Bob Schulte is a member of the US Lacrosse Board of Directors. – Local Chapter applied for a grant last year for Officials’ training for Youth League.  It was approved for $2000.  Discussion next meeting on how to disperse these funds.  Also applied for an equipment grant for inner-city youth.  Expect to hear something back soon.  Chapter meeting next Tuesday, 9/26.
  • Girls – No Representative present - Women’s lacrosse will be officially recognized by MSHSAA beginning the Spring 2008 season.

Old Business

  • Money turn-in for Fall FaceOff tickets.  MSLA supports this event by guaranteeing a certain amount of ticket sales.  St Louis teams are required to purchase one ticket per team member, Columbia teams 1 ticket for every 2 players and KC/Springfield 1 ticket per 4 players.
    • Missouri now has it’s 1st EVER NCAA Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse teams: Fontbonne.  Posters provided for placement in schools, etc.  Desire to get this event out to the media, if possible.
  • Shortage of Officials – HUGE situation this year! If there aren’t enough, may not be able to schedule games as desired.  It is imperative that teams provide individuals to train to become Officials.  Suggestion to advertise at  Area Colleges.  Suggestion to create an MSLA Committee to recruit Officials.  Chris Goudy will lead this initiative.
  • Still need to vote on a Rules Committee recommendation regarding 8th Grade eligibility.

New Business

  • Warrior HS Goal Issue – Some retailers are selling a lacrosse goal that is not legal by NCAA rules.  Needs to be discussed by Rules Committee to be voted on later.
