| 1. The meeting was called to order by Jay Coleman. | ||||||||||
| 2. The June 2003 minutes were approved. | ||||||||||
| 3. Treasurer’s Report was presented by Ren Pettinelli. | ||||||||||
| 4. Election of officers | ||||||||||
| A) President – Jay Coleman returned as president. | ||||||||||
| B) Vice President – Ren Pettinelli (last year’s treasurer) was elected vice president | ||||||||||
| C) Treasurer – Jerry Olive was elected treasurer. | ||||||||||
| D) Secretary – Doug Hejna returned as secretary | ||||||||||
| Election of Committees | ||||||||||
| A) Tournament Committee – J C Dillon, Ren Pettinelli and Keith Templin. | ||||||||||
| B) By-Laws Committee- Not yet set up | ||||||||||
| C) Coaches/Scheduling Committee – Court Creeden, Ren Pettinelli | ||||||||||
| D) Communications Committee – J C Dillon, Julia Faber | ||||||||||
| E) Rules Committee – Mike Sennett, Chris Schepman, Jerard Diamond | ||||||||||
| Regular Reports | ||||||||||
| A) High School Women’s Division – Adding three teams (Marquette, Westminister & Wentzville) for a total of 21 teams. Semi finals will be 5/6/03, 5/7/03, 5/11/03 and 5/13/03. Finals date has yet to be determined. Coaches are needed for the girls teams. | ||||||||||
| B) US Lacrosse – Fall face off will feature Notre Dame, Princeton, U Mass and Ohio State. Tickets will be mad available to all teams, we need to get people in the seats. | ||||||||||
| C) MALOA – the officials will have a representative at the scheduling to avoid changes or conflicts. Would like MSLA to consider a penalty for changes of the scheduled games as there was up to 75 changes during last season. These changes made it very difficult to schedule referees. | ||||||||||
| Old Business | ||||||||||

Website – The website is www.MOLAX.ORG and Perry Saffer will continue to run the web site. |

| New Business | ||||||||||
| A) New Varsity Teams – New teams are St. Thomas Aquinas, Olathe East, Chaminade and Cape Girardeau. Additional JV teams possible in Springfield, MO. | ||||||||||
| B) Proposal to allow Seniors to play JV – a motion to allow inexperienced seniors t be allowed to play JV was presented. The motion was defeated. | ||||||||||
| C) MSLA Hall of Fame – a motion was made to set up a MSLA Hall of Fame for the 11 years the organization has been operating. The motion was approved. | ||||||||||

| The October meeting will be held on 10/16/03. The minutes will be posted on the web site of MOLAX.ORG. All teams are to advise the number of teams for each school by the November meeting. | ||||||||||
