Fees and Dues:
This year we lost 6 teams from Kansas and added a round of playoffs. A motion was made, seconded and passed that we charge $275, $100, and $100 for Varsity, JV, and Freshman teams respectively. This will get us through the year and is the same amount we charge two years ago.

Scheduling:
Please reserve Saturdays for travel games, Added games need to be on Mondays or Thursdays. Do not schedule any regular season games after May 9. May 11,12,13 are reserved for make up games.

Game changes: Each team gets two free game changes and after that there is a $25 fee per game change. Last year there were 34 game changes beyond the two free allotted each team resulting in a big hassle for schedulers and refs. It was moved and seconded that those fees from last year be waived since they have not been collected. After discussion we voted against waiving the fees and the teams will be billed.

Rules:

Eighth grade Eligibility: This is the big change in the new guidelines. Be sure to read them. The coaches voted to not allow 8th graders to play starting in the 2010 season. It was moved and seconded that MSLA does not allow 8th graders to play starting in the 2010 season. This passed with two no votes.

Transfer Rule will be strictly enforced this year.

Uniform Rule:
You do not need new jerseys this year. Please wear white at home games. If you only have white or dark, let the opposing team know ahead of time so they can wear the opposite..

Helmets: please have same color shell on helmets

Under garments; Must be white, grey or black and tucked in

New rules:
Any dangling string needs to be less than 2” long.

New ball out of the box rule, the ten second count begins when the ball leaves the box and not when a player picks it up

Spring Shoot Out
March 8 Two Division games that really matter! Featuring Manhattan in the Division One game and Fontbonne in the Division 3 game. Please come out and support Lacrosse in St. Louis. Teams will be expected to buy the same number of Fall Face off tickets they bought. The cost to MSLA teams is $5 while their face value is $10 so they can be used as a fund raiser.

MSLA Banquet:
Big success this year with almost 250 attending. Please encourage all of your team players and parents and coaches and reps to attend this exciting annual event. Next year it will be June 6.

New teams: O’Fallon, IL is looking for games. They are sanctioned. Contact is Jim McIntire. Kansas teams also need games so if you are going to KC this year please plan to play another game with Blue Valley, Shawnee Mission or Aquinas. Do not forget Springfield.

Respectively submitted, Julia Carroll
