BOARD MEETING MINUTES

October 20, 2005

Call to Order

Ren Pettinelli called the meeting to order at 6:45pm. 

Approval of Minutes

The minutes from the August meeting are posted on the website and were approved as posted.   

Treasurer’s Report

Cash balance of $8,529.69 was approved. 

Reports

A)      Coaches -  The coach’s meeting is set for November 12 at 10:50 a.m. at Desmet.  Scheduling will occur for the 2006 season.  There are some rule changes to go over at that time.  Fans will need to  educated about these new rules.   

B)      Officials – No officials were present to report. 

C)      US Lacrosse – Convention Jan. 12-13 in Philadelphia.  College clinic in Dec. in Baltimore for men’s high school and college coaches only.  The National Senior Showcase will be held in St Louis again in St Louis for the 3^rd year in a row.

D)      Girls Lacrosse – They are going to attempt to get sanctioned again.

No Old Business

New Business

        Wentzville will be a varsity program as well as Eureka, Cape Girardeau and Shawnee Mission East in 2006.  Republic in Springfield is adding a JV team.  Possibly Westminster and Priory also.  Blue Valley North may discontinue their program.

Other

        Grade cards for officials and coaches was discussed.  Some sort of system will be looked into.  We are looking at some software for scheduling of games.  Coach certification was also discussed.
