BOARD MEETING MINUTES

January 18, 2007

Call to Order

President, Ren Pettinelli called the meeting to order at 7:00pm via conference call (866) 201 0083 code 003260.  Teams represented:  Parkway's North, South, and Central, Lafayette, Webster Groves, Fort Zumwalt, Vianney, Hazelwood, Ladue, Eureka, Blue Valley West, MICDS, Kirkwood, Hickman, St. Thomas Aquinas, Olathe, Lindbergh, and Shawnee Mission.

Minutes unavailable at this time from last meeting.    

Treasurer’s Report

No Activity.  Still holding a $5,000 CD. 

Reports

  • Coaches – Ren Pettinelli – Rules meeting for coaches is Feb 10 in the am, location to be announced.  Coaches approved a new playoff system, top 2 teams in each conference advance plus a wild card.  The point system will still be used for seeding purposes.
  • Girls– Approved by MSHSAA
  • Officials-   Forward possible referee names to Bob Schulte.  Really need refs in Kansas City.
  • USLacrosse-   Hall of Fame induction celebration Feb 3 at Soccer Park.

 

Old Business

  • Scheduling:  500 contests in 60 days this season!!!  Final Master Schedule has been posted.  Teams are allowed two changes.  After that a $25 penalty is charged for each change.  Additional games need to be on Mondays or Wednesdays as all other days are booked solid.
  • Two new JV teams.  Mexico Military Academy and Wentworth Military Academy.  Blue Valley North trying to get it together
  • FEES due today.  $100 penalty if not received by next meeting.  Send fees to Chris Goudy  3219 Pestalozzi  St. Louis, MO  63118.

New Business

  • Home Schooled Eligibility.  There are three players currently playing lacrosse who are home schooled.  They would not be allowed to play under MSHSAA rules.  Should they be allowed to continue to play?  Curt Shank from Parkway Central made a motion we grandfather these three players into the system and they be allowed to play til they graduate and the rules committee addresses this issue for the 2007 season.  Perry Saffer from Hazelwood Central seconded the motion and it was unanimously passed.
  • Insurance certificates due by March 1.   Mail to Ren Pettinelli 1553 Morning Sun Dr.   Ballwin, MO 63021  Try Bollinger through US lacrosse or Camp Team out of Denver 800 747-9573   Be sure to include all the fields you will be playing at as  secondary insured.
  • No Swing Rosters due March 10.  The top 15 players, 6 middie, 4 attack , 4 defensemen, and 1 goalie.  Send that to Ren also.
