BOARD MEETING MINUTES

April  20, 2006

Ren Pettinelli called the meeting to order at 7:30pm. Due to many game conflicts, the meeting was held via

telephone conference calling.

Approval of Minutes

The minutes from the February meeting are posted on the website and were approved as posted.

Treasurer’s Report

Treasury balance $16,830.

Items Discussed:

Girls lacrosse is going before MSHSAA on April 24 for state recognition only.

There are 25 youth referees signed up for training.

US Lacrosse—the Powell Brothers will be here for the Youth Festival. Sat April 29 at 4 p.m. at the Marriott West.

Awards conference/coaches meeting to be held on Monday, May 15 at 7 p.m. at the Marriott West.

It is very important that all coaches attend.

Currently there is an 8th grader who attends MICDS but is playing on the public school team where he lives so that he can play varsity. There was a lot of discussion. Fauss, Hopkins and Faber agreed to form a committee and come up with a new rule for our bylaws by the June meeting to address this issue.

A motion was made and carried that the 2006 Senior All Star game be held in Columbia again this year.

The time and place will be determined later.

The National Senior Showcase will be in St Louis again on June 25. Volunteers are needed to help at the event. Please contact Ren Pettinelli to volunteer.

The 2006 state tournament was discussed. A motion was made and carried that admission be charged this year; $3 for adults and free admission with valid high school ID. It will be held at Francis Field on the campus of Washington Univ. Many volunteers are needed. One volunteer should come forward from every team.
