• Teams qualifying for the 2006 State Tournament will be
determined and all Seedings will be
assigned per approved MSLA Guidelines and Point Systems at a Coaches
Meeting to be held on May 15, 2006.
• First Round and Second Round Games will be played at
"Higher Seeded" team fields.
- First Round Games are scheduled to be played Tuesday-Thursday, May
16-18, 2006.
- Second Round (Quarterfinal) Games will be played Friday-Monday, May
19-22, 2006.
- It is the responsibility of the two participating teams to schedule a
mutually agreeable date for First and Second Round Games to accommodate
travel requirements, field availability, MALOA referee availability, exam
schedules, etc.
• The Semi-Final and Championship Games will be played
at Francis Field on the campus of Washington University, St. Louis,
Missouri.
- Semi-Final Games will be held on Wednesday – May 24, 2006 – 6:00 p.m. &
8:00 p.m.
+ there will be a minimum of 20 minutes between semi-final games
+ consideration for the scheduling of the 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. games will be
given to teams traveling from outside the St. Louis area
+ the field will be available for teams participating in the first
semi-final game at 5:00 p.m.
+ a field directly adjacent to the stadium will be available for warm-ups
to the two teams participating in the second semi-final game
- State Championship game will be held on Saturday – May 27, 2006 – 1:00
p.m.
+ the stadium field will be available for teams in the championship game
at 12:00 noon
• Higher Seeded Team in all State Tournament Games shall
be designated as "Home Team."
- Home Teams are to wear "White" uniforms and will have the choice of Team
Bench during MSLA State Tournament Games.
- "Home Teams" in First and Second Round Games will have the same
responsibilities of the "Home Team" during the regular MSLA Regular Season
("official game scorekeeper", manning table, game & referee scheduling,
score reporting, providing balls and ball boys, etc. -- the MSLA will pay
referee/officials fees for all games for all rounds of the state
tournament)
- The MSLA will be responsible for all "Home Team" duties during the
Semi-Final and State Championship Final Games at Washington University.
- Each Team participating in the Semi-Final and Final Games is allowed to
have one Scorekeeper and one Spotter (two people total each team) at the
table and will be under the direction of the MALOA "Box Official."
• All Teams participating in 2006 MSLA Boy's High School
Lacrosse State Championship Tournament are required to have current
Insurance Certificates naming "Washington University" as an "Additional
Insured."
- Insurance Certificates from each program are to be provided to J.C.
Dillon at the MSLA Coaches Meeting on Monday, May 15, 2006.
• A certified athletic trainer will be provided by the
MSLA at all Semi-Final and Championship Games.
